CSR COMMITTEE
Our CSR program will be headed by the Board Level CSR Committee that will be ultimately responsible for the CSR projects undertaken. The Committee will report to the Board of Directors. The composition of the committee will be as the following:-

ROLE OF THE CSR COMMITTEE
i) Draft the CSR policy and recommend the same to the Board for approval
ii) Review and recommend any new CSR initiatives to be taken up by the company
iii) Review the progress of CSR projects already undertaken by the company and the utilization of budgets for each such projects
iv) Review and recommend the CSR report to be included in the board’s report
v) Review and recommend any amendments to be made in the CSR policy of the Company
vi) To carry such other functions as may be delegated to it by the board relating to CSR activities of the company
vii) To Appoint the Internal CSR Committee for carrying out CSR initiatives/activities as approved in line with the CSR Vision and Goal of the company
IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS
The CSR Committee will recommend the CSR Goals, programmes, activities and will also overlook the implementation of the CSR programmes/activities. The Company implements it’s CSR Policy through Company Personnel however, the principle implementer of our CSR activities would be through external implementing agencies such as Registered Trusts, Registered Societies, NGO’s etc., having rich experience of more than three years in successfully undertaking such activities.
GOVERNANCE
Every Year, the CSR Committee will place for the Board’s approval, a CSR Plan delineating the CSR programmes to be carried out during the financial year and the specified budget thereof. The Board will consider and approve the CSR Plan with any modification that may be deemed necessary.
The persons/bodies to which the implementation is assigned will carry out such programmes as decided within the specific budgets and timeframes and report back to the committee the progress thereon at such frequency as decided by the committee.
The committee shall review the progress of the programmes in such duration as will be decided and issue necessary directions from time to time to ensure orderly and efficient execution of the CSR programmes in accordance with this policy.
At the end of the financial year the committee will submit an annual report on CSR to the Board of Directors that will be included in the Board Report on the said format.
MONITORING OF CSR ACTIVITIES
CSR committee of the company will be responsible for the monitoring of CSR projects or programs undertaken by the company directly or indirectly. The committee shall ensure that;
i. Company undertakes the CSR activities as provided in the CSR policy
ii. The projects/ programs are implemented as per the program approved by the board
iii. The budget allocated for each of the project is utilized for the projects as per the approved plans
iv. The objective of the project/program is achieved as per the plans
v. Company shall provide necessary resources and human capital for implementation and the effective monitoring of the CSR projects and programs as may be directed by the CSR Committee. The services of any external agencies or persons who have experience in the same or similar projects or programs undertaken or proposed to be undertaken by the company may also be made available for successful implementation and monitoring of the project
PROPOSED CSR ACTIVITIES
Activities relating to:
(i) Eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition, 2 [promoting health care including preventive health] and sanitation 3 [Including contribution to the Swatch Bharat Kosh set-up by the Central Government for the promotion of sanitation] and making available safe drinking water;
(ii) Promoting education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly, and the differently abled and livelihood enhancement projects;
(iii) ensuring environmental sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agroforestry, conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water 4 [including contribution to the Clean Ganga Fund set-up by the Central Government for rejuvenation of river Ganga];
AMENDMENT OF POLICY
The CSR policy of the company may be amended at any time by the board of the company on the Recommendation of the CSR committee. New CSR Programmes/activities as come for recommendation of the CSR committee will be added to the CSR policy after due diligence and approval of the Board.

CSR Initiatives 2024–2025
1. Focus Area: Residential Child Care, Education, Vocational Training
Organization 1: Rainbow Homes Foundation- Khushi & Kilkari Rainbow Homes (Delhi)
Overview:
Rainbow Homes Foundation (RHF) provides long-term residential care to marginalized children across India. In Delhi, Khushi and Kilkari Rainbow Homes serve girls aged 4–18 who are placed under the Juvenile Justice Act through the Child Welfare Committee. McGraw Hill has been supporting RHF since 2019 through funding for education, vocational training, and residential care.
CSR Alignment:
The Foundation’s focus on education, safety, and holistic development of marginalized children aligns strongly with McGraw Hill’s CSR mission. In FY 2024–25, McGraw Hill supported the residential and educational needs of 50 children, including provisions for hygiene, sanitation, nutritious meals, and a safe living environment to ensure their overall well- being and academic growth, vocational training for 10 students, and higher education scholarships for two girls.
Key Engagement & Outcomes:
- Donor Meet at Kilkari Home (9 Nov 2024): McGraw Hill participated in a donor meet that emphasized program transparency and sustainability. The setting with children at the center surrounded by donors symbolized collective care. Each donor received a painting, a pot, and a certificate from the children.
- Site Visit to Khushi Home (23 Dec 2024): The visit revealed well-maintained facilities post-renovation, including study rooms, a library, computer lab, medical bay, and safe dormitories. Child protection measures, school attendance tracking, and balanced nutrition plans were in place.
- Employee Engagement at Khushi Home (6 Feb 2025): McGraw Hill employees conducted educational games (Pictionary, quizzes), a ‘Big Dream’ art activity, and motivational talks. Children shared aspirations to become doctors, chefs, and artists. The event closed with cultural performances and distribution of educational kits.
Impact:
These multi-pronged engagements contributed to the intellectual, emotional, and social well- being of the girls while offering McGraw Hill employees a meaningful opportunity to experience the impact of their contributions firsthand. The long-term investment in higher education and employability ensures continuity in the children’s journey toward independence.

2. Focus Area: Inclusive Education, Vocational Training, Empowerment of Neurodiverse Individuals
Organization 2: Sunrise Learning Foundation- Noida
Overview:
Sunrise Learning Foundation (SLF) is a registered non-profit organization working toward inclusive education, skill-building, and empowerment of individuals with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and intellectual disabilities. Its School for Special Needs and Vocational Training Institute in Noida supports over 120 children with structured education, therapy, and employment-readiness programs.
CSR Alignment:
SLF’s mission strongly aligns with McGraw Hill’s CSR priorities of inclusive learning and skill development. In FY 2024–25, McGraw Hill supported the foundation with focus toward educator salaries, infrastructure for vocational training, and transport for student accessibility.
Key Engagements & Outcomes:
- Annual Day Participation (29 March 2025): McGraw Hill was represented by a management consultant at SLF’s Annual Day event. In the keynote address, McGraw Hill reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive education, stating: “Education should be accessible to all… our collaboration with SLF aligns with our vision of creating opportunities for learners of all abilities.”
- Outcomes Supported:
- 120+ neurodiverse students trained in vocational skills (IT, food services, creative arts, etc.)
- 10 students secured employment or initiated self-employment
- 2,000+ families reached through outreach and training
- 20+ low-income women trained as caregivers, contributing to local economic resilience.
Impact:
This partnership furthers McGraw Hill’s CSR goals while addressing national priorities such as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 8, and 10). It reinforces our belief in education for all and in building dignified, inclusive futures for neurodiverse individuals.

3. Focus Area: Environmental Sustainability, Biodiversity Restoration, Community Engagement
Organisation 3: Give Me Trees Trust
Overview:
Give Me Trees Trust is a leading environmental NGO focused on afforestation, biodiversity restoration, and sustainable green infrastructure across India. Founded by environmentalist Swami Prem Parivartan (Peepal Baba), the Trust has planted over 1.27 crore trees nationwide. In FY 2024–25, McGraw Hill partnered with the Trust to undertake a large-scale plantation project in Junpat, Greater Noida, converting 2 acres of degraded land into a biodiverse green zone.
CSR Alignment:
The project aligns with McGraw Hill’s commitment to climate responsibility and sustainable development, supporting SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land). It complements the organization’s education-led CSR mission by fostering environmental literacy and ecosystem regeneration.
Key Engagements & Outcomes:
- 5,000 saplings planted on a barren site, including native species like Peepal, Neem, Shahtoot, Jamun, and Amaltas.
- Regular maintenance activities (watering, mulching, de-weeding, plant replacement) for long-term ecological sustainability.
- Community involvement, including a women-led workforce for plantation activities, strengthening grassroots participation and local livelihoods.
- Employee Engagement (16 April 2025):
- Around 30 McGraw Hill employees participated in a plantation drive at the Junpat site.
- The event began with an address by country Representative of Give Me Trees Foundation, highlighting the importance of afforestation.
- Employees were given a guided tour, trained on planting techniques, and took part in the plantation of native saplings.
- A commemorative banner was installed by the McGraw Hill team to mark the collaboration with GMT and Greater Noida Authority.
- The event included participation from 20 GMT team members.

The initiative has begun transforming an ecologically degraded zone into a vibrant, self- sustaining green belt. It also reinforced employee connection to McGraw Hill’s environmental values, while engaging the local community and contributing to urban biodiversity and air quality improvement.

Other Support Initiatives by McGraw Hill India
- We, at McGraw Hill India, run an in-house drive wherein all employees are asked out of their own free will to provide any kind of support in the form of books, stationery, toys, clothes etc., for children. We have done many such drives over the years and have contributed relief material to the Rainbow Homes for the Children of the homes.
- Our employees have donated amenities such as clothes, stationery, toys, shoes, etc. for the underprivileged in a locality named Mangal Chowk, Vasundhara, UP. We did this in association with the NGO, The Path Finders, who have been working towards the welfare of the children by running a school in the neighborhood.
